Terms of Service
Last updated August 29, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and North Cape Advisors, LLC (“we”) for using ThereFor. Using the service means you accept them.
What ThereFor does
ThereFor reads calendars your family already uses and adds a layer on top for coordinating who is going and who is driving. It does not replace those calendars, and it never writes back to them. The source calendar always remains the authority.
Early access
ThereFor is early software offered to a small number of families. Expect occasional breakage, and do not rely on it as the only record of anything that matters. Features may change or be withdrawn.
Your account
You must be 18 or older to create an account. You are responsible for what happens under it, and for the invite links you send — anyone holding one can see the schedule it points at. Revoke a link from the Family screen if it reaches the wrong person.
Calendars you add
Only add calendar addresses you are entitled to use. By adding one, you confirm you have permission to access it and to show its events to the people you invite. We are not responsible for what a third-party calendar provider does, or for events that are wrong or missing at the source.
Acceptable use
Do not use ThereFor to harass anyone, to collect information about people without their knowledge, or to break the law. Do not attempt to reach another family’s data, probe the service for weaknesses without asking us first, or automate abusive volumes of traffic. We may suspend an account that does these things.
No warranty
ThereFor is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free, or that event information shown will be accurate — it comes from calendars we do not control.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, North Cape Advisors, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any missed event, lost opportunity, or lost data arising from your use of ThereFor. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars.
Ending it
You can stop using ThereFor at any time and ask us to delete your data. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export what is yours.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located there.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above will change and we will notify account holders of anything significant. Questions go to hello@therefor.app.
