Common questions

Does ThereFor work with my league?

If the league publishes a calendar you can subscribe to, yes. Crossbar and SportsEngine are supported directly, and anything that offers a standard iCal or webcal feed — school portals, Google Calendar, dance studios, churches — works through Another calendar link.

Do the people I invite need an account?

No. They open the link you send and they are in. No app, no password, no sign-up. They can say whether they are coming and offer a ride without ever creating an account.

Can I take back a link I already sent?

Yes. Open Family and use Replace to issue a new link, or Revoke to kill the old one. Either way the previous link stops working immediately.

Why can I not see the calendar address I pasted?

A calendar feed URL is a secret — anyone holding it can read that calendar — so ThereFor encrypts it and never displays it again, including to you. To change it, paste a new one over the top.

Why did ThereFor warn me about my link?

Because it looked like a one-time download rather than a live subscription, which means it would never update again. The warning never blocks you — press the button a second time and it imports anyway.

How often do the calendars refresh?

Every day in the background, and again while you are using the app when a calendar has gone more than fifteen minutes stale. Sync now on the calendar page forces it immediately.

Can I keep one calendar private from the people I invite?

Yes. Set that calendar to Household only and it stays on your signed-in Upcoming, off every invite link. Individual events can be overridden the same way.
